Reverse

Reverse

Murten - Svizzera

The show “Reverse” has been created by Corona Events for the second edition on the Murten Licht Festival.

It’s an original and engaging show based on the mixture of theatricality, lyrical music and dance.

The Deutsche Kirche, Murten's Protestant church and location of the event, has been the inspiration for Roberto Corona, the creator and director of the show.

In fact, its characteristic wooden benches with reversible backrest and its imposing pipe organ opposite the altar were the key elements for the construction of history.

"Reverse" can be defined as a modern “Operetta” due to the alternation between the dialogues of the protagonists in double original language (French and German) and the operatic pieces interpreted live by the protagonists: the opera singers (Julia Deit-Ferrand and Hélèn Walter) and the organist (Vincent Perrenoud).

The show is enriched by the dreamlike classic Corona Events’ performances, such as Cecaelia and Tulle Dance. "Reverse" is inspired by the "Carpe Diem" concept: in life there are possibilities to be seized on the fly, which can literally turn our reality upside down. And that's exactly what happens to the protagonists of the show.
